Kremlin says monitors oil market prices
MOSCOW, Nov 14 (PRIME) -- The Kremlin is monitoring the situation on the oil market, where prices slumped overnight, closely, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
“We are watching how the situation on the energy market develops closely. There is certain volatility but business is business,” he said.
International oil prices continued their freefall on Wednesday after a 7-8% slump on Tuesday. Brent lost 0.38% to U.S.$65.22 and the WTI 0.56% to $55.41 per barrel.
Reuters news agency reported that OPEC and non-member participants of the deal to reduce oil production are discussing an output cut by up to 1.4 million barrels per day in 2019.
